Am I eligible for a Jobs and Skills WA funded place?

To be eligible for a Jobs and Skills WA funded place* you must meet the following criteria:

You are an Australian Citizen

You hold a valid Australian Citizenship Certificate in your name.

Or a Visa Holder

a permanent visa holder or holder of a sub-class 309, 444, 785, 790, or 820 visa; secondary holders of a temporary visa of sub-class 457or 482 visa; holder of a Bridging Visa E (subclasses 050 and 051) where the visa holder has made a valid application for a visa of subclass 785 or 790; Ukraine citizens who are holders of a visa sub-class 449 or 786; Afghan citizens who are holders of a visa sub-class 449; holders of a bridging visa who are eligible to work, and who have made a valid application for a subclass 866.

AND

You live in WA

Your primary place of residence is in WA

You work less than 20 hours per week

You are not currently working or are classified as underemployed (work less than 20 hours per week).

Not at School or
Hold an NOA

You must be 18 years of age OR hold a NOA (Department of Education Notice of Arrangement) OR be a Year 12 school leaver no longer enrolled in compulsory education.

OR

You have a written referral

from an Approved Participation Referral Agent OR by another agency;
Referral agents are organisations that offer support services to individuals including the Disability Services Commission, selected Job Active providers, Jobs and Skills Centres, and community-based organisations.

About the Jobs and Skills WA Participation Program

AVT is contracted by the Western Australian Government to deliver this subsidised course under the Jobs and Skills WA Participation – Work Readiness program. Participants must meet the criteria above in full to be eligible for Jobs and Skills Participation – Work Readiness program.
