Overview of Qualifications in Veterinary Nursing

AVT offers a range of qualifications relating to the areas of animal care including veterinary nursing.  This includes our pathway course allowing students to meet the prerequisite for the Certificate IV level course. Our courses are written and trained by AVT lecturers who are highly skilled and experienced in their areas of expertise meaning students will have access to the latest material.

This intensive 10 week program is delivered via blended learning where students focus on developing skills and knowledge to prepare them for ACM40418 Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or to work as an Animal Attendant in a veterinary hospital.

Qualifications for high school leavers & graduates

Depending on your level of experience with animals, both the animal studies courses, ACM20117 Certificate II in Animal Studies and ACM30117 Certificate III in Animal Studies as well as ACM20217 Certificate II in Horsecare are great places for students to start who have completed high school.
