Dr Anne Beugelaar

Veterinarian, Director & VN Program Manager

Anne has had over 20 years of experience within the veterinary industry and has an extensive work history covering many aspects of the animal healthcare industry.

After completing her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Veterinary Studies Anne went onto work as a Veterinary Surgeon in a variety of general practice small animal hospitals. Gaining her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment she then followed her passion for education and became a Lecturer of the Veterinary Nursing program at Polytechnic West TAFE. During her career Anne also worked for Mars Petcare, one of the largest Pet food companies in the world as an Area Manager. Prior to commencing with AVT, Anne was the Veterinary Nursing Manager and Training Co-ordinator for Vetwest Animal Hospitals, the largest group of veterinary hospitals in Western Australia for over 8 years.
As the manager of the Veterinary Nursing Program, Anne can be found designing and authoring our veterinary nurse qualifications and delivering modules from the courses both in our lecture theatre and practical workshops.  As an AVT Director Anne also plays an important role in leading and running the college.

Anne is passionate about improving the quality of animal healthcare by providing veterinary nurses and animal carers with the latest knowledge and skills to apply in practice.

You will find Anne liaising with key industry contacts and attending continuing veterinary education courses allowing her to stay up to date with the latest in Veterinary Medicine and techniques in order to transfer current knowledge to AVT students via the nursing curriculum.
