Dr Lindsey Raeburn

PhD in Animal Behaviour, Veterinary Nurse and Trainer & Assessor

Lindsey was born and raised in Scotland, surrounded by a menagerie of animals. During university, her study focused on the foraging behaviour of seabirds, however, her doctoral research took her into the agricultural sector, where she was involved in projects examining land use and sheep behaviour and welfare. Lindsey went on to work as a researcher and lecturer with the Scottish Agricultural College where she especially enjoyed her time as Advisor of Studies and helping students complete their Honours dissertations. She emigrated to Perth with her family several years ago and jumped at the opportunity for a new career in veterinary nursing, studying with AVT.

Lindsey is passionate about animal behaviour and welfare and believes in access to education for all. She enjoys working with students to achieve their potential. At home, she attempts to put her animal behaviour knowledge to use wrangling a border collie and two kids!

Lindsey’s Qualifications:

  • Cert IV Veterinary Nursing
  • PhD Animal Behaviour
  • MSc Ecology
  • BSc (Hons) Zoology
