AVT offers two types of short courses:
Nationally recognised short courses – These are part of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and lead to a Statement of Attainment. They are only available to Australian residents or those currently living in Australia. To deliver these courses to international students, AVT would need to be CRICOS-registered, which we are not.
Non-nationally recognised short courses (referred to as AVT Short Courses) – These are designed for professional development and personal interest and can be studied from anywhere in the world.

For students living outside Australia:
You can enrol in AVT’s non-nationally recognised short courses regardless of where you live.
However, you cannot enrol in nationally recognised short courses unless you are an Australian resident or are physically located in Australia at the time of study and assessment.
Individuals who currently live overseas but intend to return and/or live in Australia may be considered for enrolment in nationally recognised short courses. If such enrolment were to occur it would not be possible for any certification to be awarded until the student could be assessed as competent in Australia, regardless of the amount of course work completed overseas.
