Caitlyn has over 12 years’ experience working as a Small Animal Veterinary Nurse. Caitlyn’s passion for animals started at a very early age having grown up on a farm in rural Victoria.
After completing high school, Caitlyn was accepted to study a Diploma of Animal Technology at Victoria University. While studying for her Diploma, she also completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and started working in a small animal practice.
After moving to Perth in 2012, Caitlyn started working in a small but very busy GP clinic. Soon after, she also began working as an ECC nurse and receptionist at WAVES. Caitlyn still enjoys both of these roles 10 years later. On completing her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Caitlyn was thrilled to join the AVT team.
Caitlyn enjoys her role as a Trainer and Assessor which allows her to support students through their studies by providing assistance over the phone, email or face-to-face assessments.
Caitlyn discovered a passion for training very early in her career and has always enjoyed training staff and students. She hopes to help students become compassionate and hard-working nurses and animal care support staff who will never stop growing and learning. At home, Caitlyn has her hands full with two dogs, two cats and a toddler.
