Bronya Wickland

Bronya has over 15 years of experience in Vocational Education and holds a number of qualifications in Training, Business, Leadership and in the Arts. She has also had experience working as a Veterinary Nurse as one of her long time passions is animal care.

In previous roles, she has worked in regional areas holding coordinator roles for community centres and in volunteer management. Among many other things, she has volunteered as an Ambulance officer in the country for many years as well as been a Business owner of a Service Station, Cattle Farm and Orchard. More recently Bronya has been a Business and First Aid Trainer and has assisted with disengaged youth in the judicial system, encouraging them to stay engaged in education.

Thoughout Bronya’s outstanding career, she has had some outstanding personal achievements including:-

  •  Torch Bearer for the 2000 Olympics.
  • Elected as Shire Councillor for the Donnybrook/Balingup Shire (4-year term).
  • Successful graduate of the Rural Leadership program.
  • Finalist in the Young Australian of the Year National Awards.
  • Young Australian of the Year for the Shire of Donnybrook/Balingup; and
  • Selected in the National future leader’s program.

Bronya enjoys doing different things differently. Her motto is, “Value and be valued”. She endeavours to make a difference to others wherever and whenever possible.
