| Applied Vocational Training is run by a group of Veterinarians and Vet Nurses that train people for employment in Veterinary Practice and related areas. We are associated with over 80 practices in Western Australia and other practices interstate and overseas. We provide training for those already in practice and for people from outside of the industry who want to train and work as a Veterinary Nurse. Our employment rate is close to 100% for our graduates. Applied Vocational Training is registered with the Western Australian Department of Education and Training and all programs offered are fully accredited. We are supported by the Australian Veterinary Association and have been training nurses since 1999. We offer a full time one year program that starts in late February each year. We also offer a part time and correspondence course in which students can start any time of the year. Our selection criteria is flexible and we are happy to talk to any person about becoming a nurse, regardless of their educational background, work history or age. ![]() Would you like to find out more about Veterinary Nursing as a career, our courses and your possibilities to train as a nurse?
