Fees and Charges Why we charge fees It is Government policy that private training companies do not get funded to provide training if TAFE provide a similar course. Although we offer a course of high quality with the backing of the Veterinary industry and are fully registered with the Department of Training, Centrelink (for Austudy), and the national training authority, only TAFE receive funding for training Vet Nurses. We and other private training providers have to rely on student fees to offer our programs. Part time and Correspondence Program In this program you are charged as you go along for your tuition. There are no upfront fees or charges. As progress you will need to pay for the following:
A person who starts the course would enroll in the first module and the Work Placement at a cost of $320 and when complete, move to the next module and pay a further $120. When ready to attend a workshop or Veterinary work placement, you then enroll and pay for that before attending. Each Work Placements needs to be paid for prior to our Coordinator organising your placement. So these fees are spread over your whole course and there are no contracts so if you decide to discontinue your studies you will have only paid for what you have done. Other Costs You will need to purchase some text books during your course. You will also need a stethoscope, thermometer, some protective clothing and to register with the Veterinary Surgeons Board. You do not need these immediately, but should allow up to $500 for these items.
Overseas student will incur
additional charges if using mail to receive modules or return of marked
tests and assignments.
