Applied Vocational Training is a private group that offers training for employment in the Veterinary  industry. We are registered with the Western Australian Department of Training and Employment and all programs we offer are fully accredited. In most cases, our courses are similar to those offered by TAFE and students receive the same qualification and employment prospects. We are not a government agency and are not funded by the government in any way. All programs rely on fees paid by students to operate.

Why study with Applied Vocational Training?  We guarantee a personalised and professional service for all of our students and we are flexible in our training and focus on your needs. Our office operates outside of the school terms and we respond to every request promptly. Our staff are highly trained and experienced in both the industry and training. We have strong links with the Veterinary School at Murdoch University and gratefully acknowledge the support they offer.

All teachers involved in the training are fully qualified in their field and either Veterinary Surgeons or Veterinary Nurses. All teachers have had significant experience teaching in University or TAFE programs. Dr John Platt is the principal of Applied Vocational Training and is an experienced Veterinarian and educator. John has worked in the Veterinary Industry since 1980 and more recently as a full time teacher in the training area.

Applied Vocational Training has a wide acceptance by industry. Our graduates are generally in demand and can expect employment. We have close links with industry and employers. All work is promptly reviewed and returned to you and tutors are available to you at most times, including after hours. You can expect to be treated as a valued client and treated at all times with respect and courtesy.
