Belinda Riley   RVN Administration and Workplace coordinator    (Vet Nurse)
Belinda graduated from Applied Vocational Training  in 2003, she has been involved in the veterinary industry for 5 years as a veterinary nurse. Her love for animals started in the Northern Territory working as a jillaroo and having horses, dogs and cats. Belinda has also worked in administration and in the Education Industry for many years.
Belinda is settled in Perth with her Partner,  her son Guy, 5 rescue cats and her toy poodle, Nakita.
Maggie Ambrose   RVN Administration and Workplace coordinator    (Vet Nurse)
Maggie is a country girl, born in Collie. Maggie worked for a local veterinary practice in Collie before moving to Perth. While in Perth she gained her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and spent her nursing career at a Fremantle Clinic. She has worked for a Veterinary Wholesaler before joining our team.
Maggie lives south of the river with her husband of 6 years.
Dr Michael Lawley
BSC, BVMS
Vet Nursing Manager   (Veterinary Surgeon)
Mike is the principal of the Vet Nursing Program and his teaching responsibilities include Pathology, Anaesthetics, Pharmacy amongst others. Michael has had over 20 years of experience within the Veterinary Industry. Michael part-owns a private practice, south of the river and has tutored at Murdoch University.
Evelyn Dharmadi
BBiomedSc, RVN
Lecturer   (Veterinary Nursing)
Evelyn graduated from Notre Dame university in Perth as a biomedical scientist but soon after decided to pursue a career allowing her to work with animals.
She followed this through by qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse and working in a busy animal hospital. She has also had experience in emergency veterinary nursing and working in animal shelters in Indonesia.
Evelyn now teaches in both our full time and part time Veterinary Nursing Program and also participates in liaising with our correspondence students. Evelyn still finds time do work in a Veterinary Practice most weekends

She lives south of the river and you may see her jogging on South Street with her Siberian Husky, Luna.
Dr Lesley Arnott
Bsc BVMS MVS (Conservation Medicine)
Lecturer   (Veterinary Nursing)

Lesley graduated from Murdoch University in Western Australia in 1988 and has worked for several years in small animal/equine Practice. She has travelled widely, working in the UK and volunteering in developing countries. Lesley has a special interest in wildlife and conservation and her diverse interests have led her to work in remote areas of the Pilbara, Emergency hospitals in Perth (including Murdoch Vet Hospital) and now as a teacher with Applied Vocational Training.

Sue Barr   RVN Lecturer and Tutor: Vet Nursing    (Vet Nurse)
Sue is an experienced Veterinary Nurse and practice manager. Sue has managed five Veterinary Hospitals, lectured at TAFE and gained a Diplomas in Nursing Management and business. She currently is a partner and manager in a busy small animal practice and teaches at our college in several areas including business management and client servicing. Beyond promoting better business practice, Sue is interested in cat and dog behaviour and human resources. Sue has two sons, a dog and two cats.

Dr John Platt
BSc (hons), BVMS,
Grad Dip Ed

Curriculum and Development Manager    (Veterinary Surgeon)
John is a Veterinarian who over the last 10 years John has specialized in technical education in the animal care industry, in particular, Veterinary Nursing, and general Animal Care. He has a post graduate qualification in Education. Aside from practicing as a Veterinarian, he has worked part time as a lecturer at Curtin University, and spent over a year as the Senior Lecturer, managing the Animal Studies department for TAFE, before starting Applied Vocational Training. John manages curriculum projects and teaches some of the time.
