The Vet Nursing Training centre is operated by Applied Vocational Training which was formed in 1999 by a group of Veterinarians and Veterinary Nurses looking to provide quality training for people interested in becoming a Veterinary Nurse and gain employment in the Veterinary industry. We have over 200 students in our various programs, around 40 studying in our full time course and the rest studying part time or by correspondence. Our correspondence program attracts students from interstate and overseas. We have students enrolled from Europe. Asia and Africa. Our graduates are working in a variety of areas including Veterinary Practice, Zoos, Quarantine and other animal care facilities. We are registered with the Western Australian Department of Employment and Training and all programs we offer are based on the Australian national qualification for Vet Nursing. The award issued on completion is the government Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, which is recognised all around Australia (and overseas is some countries) Our teachers have all had extensive experience in the veterinary profession and also have significant experience teaching in University and or TAFE programs.
Why study with Applied Vocational Training? We guarantee a personalised and professional service. Our graduates are generally in demand and have a good expectation of employment. We have close links with industry and employers. Presently we have over 100 Veterinary Practices supporting our students in their training. All submitted work is promptly reviewed and returned to you and tutors are readily contactable. You can expect to be treated as a valued client and treated at all times with respect and courtesy. Our office operates outside of the school terms and we respond to every request promptly. We have strong links with the Veterinary School at Murdoch University and gratefully acknowledge the support they offer us. Read what some of our students and graduates have to say about us or just give us a call for more information. Our registration authority can be viewed on the NTIS website, which is the Australian Governments website for details of registered courses and training providers Click Here to view our details.
